Dr. Ruth DeVito

Dr. Ruth DeVito is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPTS) with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across a variety of clinical settings. She earned her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Walden University and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University.

Dr. DeVito has worked in inpatient treatment, community mental health, intensive outpatient programs, and mobile crisis services, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the unique challenges individuals and families face at different stages of care. Her clinical approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can grow, heal, and build resilience.

As a bilingual clinician, Dr. DeVito is passionate about increasing access to mental health services within the Spanish-speaking community and providing culturally responsive care to individuals and families who may otherwise face barriers to support. She strives to create an inclusive space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood in their preferred language.

As a play therapist and supervisor, Dr. DeVito is dedicated to helping children express themselves in developmentally appropriate ways while also empowering parents and caregivers with tools to strengthen connection and emotional well-being. She values building strong therapeutic relationships that honor each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
